About Intelligent US Politics
Intelligent US Politics is all about American politics, all the time. The Intelligent US Politics family of websites and syndication partners including Technorati Media and the American Politics Wiki publish engaging political articles, research, polls, editorials and commentary about American politics, free of mainstream media bias.
Intelligent US Politics was founded in 2010 by Scott Schaefer, a website developer and syndicated political writer. The roots of Intelligent US Politics are found in three blogs which are it’s spiritual predecessors, Stop Obama Now, Obama Is Lying and the self titled Scott Schaefer.
Scott Schaefer is a website developer and SEO expert with website design firm Lexington Development, where he specializes in designing and optimizing small business websites which deliver measurable results. Schaefer is also a prolific writer who has authored more than 2,000 published articles. In addition to website development and SEO, a great many of his articles focus on American politics, which has been a passion for Schaefer since he was enlisted to be a political campaign volunteer by his father in 1974. He was 10.
His second political campaign, in 1975, fell short when he was defeated 151-105 in his bid to become student body president. At 12, already a veteran of two political campaigns, Schaefer again teamed up with his father in 1976 in an election which saw his father elected Councilman in the town of Brewster New York.
While attending high school in Mesa Arizona in 1980, Schaefer again found himself drawn to a political cause when he met then Senator and previous Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater working as a volunteer on Goldwater’s reelection campaign. Destined for bigger things and dismayed by the malaise in which the country was mired, Schaefer began working on Ronald Reagan’s 1980 Presidential election campaign.
Inspired by Reagan’s historic victory, Schaefer again decided to pursue public service and became a candidate for the office of State President of the Arizona Teen Age Republicans in 1981. In a landslide victory Schaefer was elected to that office, but returned to the private sector when his family relocated to Dallas Texas later that year. He was drawn back into the political arena, again working for Ronald Reagan in his 1984 reelection campaign resulting in an historic landslide victory. Schaefer spent the next 25 years in the private sector, ignoring politics until founding several political blogs in 2009, the founding of Intelligent US Politics in 2010 and becoming a syndicated political writer in 2011.
Private Sector Career
With an indomitable entrepreneurial spirit, Schaefer became a real estate developer and investor in 1984. He founded and became managing partner of Lexington Luxury Builders, a Dallas custom home builder and real estate developer in 1997. Always on the forefront of new urbanism, green building and sustainable development, Schaefer became a Certified Green Building Professional and a prominent Dallas newspaper referred to Schaefer as a Dallas Urban Icon in 2008.
With the crash of the housing market in 2008, and the subsequent election of the first socialist President of the United States, home building ceased being a viable career path. Finding that he was an internet marketing savant, Schaefer began designing small business websites and developing Internet marketing strategies for small business as a second career in 2008.
Schaefer is also mad as hell about the state of the United States and isn’t gonna take it anymore, so he has become a contributing author to several political blogs, news services and websites including Intelligent US Politics, which he also co-publishes.
