August 16, 2012. Pennsylvania's new Voter ID Law will go into effect before the November election as planned. The new Voter ID Law survived a challenge when a Pennsylvania District Court Judge Robert Simpson denied a motion for preliminary injunction in a lawsuit brought by the ACLU and NAACP to block Pennsylvania's new Voter ID Law from taking effect.
