Dianne Feinstein Displays Deep Understanding Of Internet

Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein from California is arguably one of the smartest democrats in American politics, ranking right up there with Nancy Pelosi. But I don’t think MENSA will sign her up anytime soon.

Gizmodo is reporting that Dianne Feinstein wants to remove The Anarchist Cookbook from the internet. The Anarchist Cookbook, as you may recall, is a notorious do it yourself bomb-making manual that has been around since the 1970s, and is still available in print. If you are so inclined, you can buy it on Amazon or at thousands of places.

After an incident where two women allegedly used a downloaded copy of The Anarchist Cookbook to make bombs, Feinstein stated that,

I am particularly struck that the alleged bombers made use of online bombmaking guides like the Anarchist Cookbook and Inspire Magazine. These documents are not, in my view, protected by the First Amendment and should be removed from the Internet.

This is a serious suggestion. This from the former head of the Senate Intelligence Committee and one of the 100 most powerful people in America. I guess that’s how we got Net Neutrality, too.
